WOW! that is so scary! I went and checked and we have a Schlag brand lock, plus two barking dogs.
I know this is an unpopular thing to say but this issue reminds me of gun laws. I think its crazy that people are so afraid of guns that they won't have one in their home (DUH - you can't leave them unlocked, you have to take measures to keep you kids safe). Anyhow my point...what if EVERYONE had a gun in their home....The "bad guys" would not break in if they KNEW you had a gun handy.
Sorry. Don't send hate mail. I would never shoot someone that broke into my house unless I had to, but I would shoot off my gun and scare them away.

Good. Then you won't need to replace your lock. And dogs are great to have also, aren't they?
